Craft Fair Update

The Craft Fair Committee is making plans for our big day in September.

As you do Spring cleaning, we have a request.  Please check for Craft Fair yard signs that may have found their way to the back of your garage or garden shed.  We can reuse them by simply using stickers to change the date.

If you are planting a garden this summer, consider adding a row of fruits or vegetables for St. John.  We can use them in the kitchen and in the bake sale area.  Thanks!

If you know someone who may be interested in exhibiting, applications can be picked up or e-mailed from the church office or printed off the St. John website. Our craft booths are $30 and young crafters can exhibit for only $10. Post cards advertising our fair to vendors are available in the office and the fellowship hall.

Now is also the time to start thinking about making a theme basket. Check out the sign up sheet that will be in the Narthex soon. Remember, the baskets don’t have to be large; small, practical or creative are all appealing!

We also want to thank those of you who have already donated cash or prizes to the Raffle.  For those of you still considering it, we need your help!  While the cash raffle has been extremely popular, we also gladly accept other raffle items as well.  Gift cards for gas, restaurants, fast food, grocery stores and bookstores are popular items but we welcome any donations of new items for this raffle. If you opt for gift cards, remember to order them through Script and the church benefits twice!

If you are interested in donating cash for the youth raffle, there are envelopes on the bulletin board on the landing.  We would like to purchase a savings bond or two for the youth raffle.  As far as other donations for the youth raffle, gift certificates are always popular.  Again, we welcome any item.

Watch for more info soon for when raffle tickets will be available for sale.
